This 8-Hour Scaffolding Competent Person - Cal/OSHA course is designed to provide scaffold erectors with the knowledge of regulations, safety guidelines, and procedures needed to recognize and prevent workplace hazards. At the end of this course, students will be trained to serve as the scaffolding competent person on job sites where scaffolding and other elevated platforms are used in compliance with Cal/OSHA requirements.
Scaffolding accidents are some of the most fatal types of accidents that workers face. Despite their ubiquity, accidents can be avoided if every person on a job site employs proper safety techniques when working with dangerous machinery and tools. This 8-Hour Scaffolding Competent Person course will teach students how to properly use the frame, rolling tower, tube, clamp and other components of a scaffolding system so that they can teach others on their job site.
