Why Should You Take This Fall Protection Awareness Course?
The goal of this Fall Protection Awareness course is to inform students of necessary safe work practices and regulations designed to prevent injuries and death, due to falls while working in elevated surfaces. Equipment review is conducted only. This class does not include hands-on exercises or evaluations.
On-site training includes demonstrations of Fall Protection equipment and class discussions. This is a very compact and direct course that deals with the issues of fall protection systems immediately relevant to workers on site. Workers will be expected to demonstrate their ability to properly put on a harness and utilize a site-specific installed fall protection system.
At the completion of this course, the participants will be acquainted with the following information and material:
Please Note: One constant in OSHA law is that all employees are to be trained on the hazards of their jobs before they start work (HAZCOM). A Contractor selects specific training based on the needs of his workers and the potential hazards on site.
After an employee has initial training, employers must consult the Code of Federal Regulations for annual or specific incremental requirements. Workers who are exposed to greater potential harm have more frequent retraining.
