Forklift: Key Off Inspection Part 1 - Online is a 15-minute course that serves as the first of two parts in the forklift pre-operation inspection process. Specifications for electric, internal combustion, and liquid propane forklifts are covered in this course, along with general inspections. An interactive simulation reinforces the inspection procedure. Pre-operational inspection requirements, frequency, and significance are discussed, along with what to do in the event of a failed inspection, in order to ensure adherence to OSHA Standard 1910.178 and industry best practices. Using the interactive simulation, by the end of the course, operators will know how to ensure that a forklift is safe before using it, promoting a safer workplace.
