This Online NYC Site Safety Training (SST) For New Entrants course provides students with a temporary SST card valid for six months. During this course, students will complete their OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification. Students will then have six months to complete an additional 30 hours of required SST training.
Local Law 196 requires new entrants to the New York City construction industry to complete 40 hours of NYC Department of Buildings approved site safety training. Students who started work in New York City after December 1, 2019, you are considered a “new entrant” and you can obtain a Temporary SST Card by completing OSHA 10 for Construction Industry, and follow up with additional 30 hours of SST training in the next 6 months to obtain a permanent SST card.
