COURSE DESCRIPTION

The 7.5-Hour Disaster Site Worker course will train the student to be aware of any safety and health hazards while on the job site. This shortened course will cover personal protective equipment (PPE) and decontamination procedures for Workers. This course fulfills the OSHA 7600 requirement. 

Students will learn safe working conditions when it comes to respiratory health by covering inspection of an air-purifying respirator, donning and duffing an air-purifying respirator as well as respirator user seal check. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention.

  • Safety and Health Hazards
  • CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives) Agents
  • Traumatic Incident Stress Awareness
  • Other Personal Protective Equipment and Respirator Activity 
  • Decontamination

OSHA does not require an exam but there is a knowledge-based final quiz.

PREREQUISITE: Completion of the OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Construction or General Industry Outreach Training Course.
