Why Should You Take This Respiratory Protection and N95 Fit Testing Train-the-Trainer Program?

The Respiratory Protection and N95 Fit Testing Train-the-Trainer emphasizes the importance of the proper selection, use, sanitation and storage of respirators. At the end of the course, students must successfully complete an exam for certification. This course covers N95 and all other tight-fitting respirators. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion and a wallet card.

At the completion of this class, students will be trained to perform the following:

• Recognize and identify respiratory hazards in the work environment.
• Select the correct type of respirator and cartridge.
• Understand the capabilities, features and limitations of respirators.
• Clean, sanitize disinfect and store respirators properly.
• Perform and document fit tests for other employees.

Please Note:

• Qualitative Fit Testing (QLFT) is used as preferred method of fit testing.
• We use BITREX solution.
• This course covers N95 and all other tight-fitting respirators. 
  

If students need fit testing, the following is necessary

• Medical Clearance is required prior to fit testing.
• Provide make/model info of types(s) of respirators used.
• Students must bring respirators to class for fit testing.
• Students must be clean shaven for the fit testing.
