Why Should You Take This 40-Hour Site Safety Manager course?
This Site Safety Manager - 40 Hour course is a comprehensive review of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that pertain to public protection. The purpose of the course is to initiate perspective candidates with safe job practices in New York City and to prepare those perspective candidates to take the Site Safety Manager’s test. During the course, students will be introduced to the hazards of working the New York City construction environment and the specific methods and work practices that are necessary on an urban construction site. This course is one of the pre-requisites an applicant must successfully complete before being eligible to apply for Site Safety Manager Certificate Examination. In addition, this course fulfills the training course requirements for Site Safety Coordinator and Construction Superintendent Certification in New York City.
Who Should Attend This 40-Hour Site Safety Manager course?
This course is a prerequisite for individuals who are applying for the Site Safety Manager (SSM), Site Safety Coordinator (SSC) and Construction Superintendent (CSI) licenses.
Prerequisities: There are no prerequisites needed to attend this course, however students must have an overall knowledge of the Building Codes relating to public safety. Individuals who are taking this course with the intent to apply for a specific NYC license/certificate, must meet certain requirements in order to apply for that license. Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Course Completion Requirements: Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities including hands-on exercises.
Students are not permitted to miss more than 4 hours of class time. Should this occur, it is the student’s responsibility to contact the trainer to schedule a make up session or arrange to attend another scheduled event. Students will not be eligible to receive their certificate of completion without making up missed time.
