This 2-Day Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) course is designed to teach students the operation, management and maintenance involved with aquatic facility management. Specifically, this course provides comprehensive information on water chemistry, disinfection and sanitation, mechanical systems and daily operations.
This course includes a 50-question exam on the second day of the course. The exam covers four categories of AFO certification (Water Chemistry & Disinfection, Mechanical Systems & Operations, Health/Safety, and Daily Operations). Students must score 78% or higher to pass the exam.
The AFO Certification is issued by the National Recreation and Park Association and is the premier certification program in swimming pool operations.
