For those who cannot attend a standard two-day CPO class or webinar have the option of taking the CPO Primer course plus Day 2 (CPO Fusion Course).
The CPO Certified Pool Operator Primer training an at-your-pace 10 hour online course that will satisfy the requirements for day-1 of a regular two-day class. It is suggested to allow 10 to 14 days to complete this online course. After completing the CPO Primer, the student would need finish the material and take the open book exam by attending a CPO Pool Operator Fusion class, either in person or by live webinar. CPO Primer online and Day2 must all be completed within a 6 month period.
The material covered is the same as a standard CPO class which consists of covering public bathing codes, water chemistry, filtration and circulation, seasonal pool care, pool management strategies and requirements, energy management, calculations, testing pool water, making adjustments, maintenance and operational challenges, renovating and modernization of pool facilities, and disease and accident prevention.

Note: This online course consists of 10 hours of online instruction. In order to receive the Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, students must also complete an in-person or live webinar Pool Operator Fusion course. Additionally, students must pass the Pool Operator exam with a score of 75% or higher.
Students who opt to take the Pool Operator Fusion course must provide their photo ID and Pool Operator Primer certificate of completion to be admitted to into the exam. The exam is open-book; students will either receive the Pool and Spa Operator handbook by mail or on the day of the exam.
