In areas undergoing development or renovation, stormwater runoff can be especially dangerous as it enters local waterways. Proper stormwater management is key to protecting receiving bodies of water.
In the Post-Construction Stormwater Maintenance course, students will learn the Best Management Practices for structural, manufactured, low impact development (LID), and above ground and below ground detention and retention systems. Designed with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program requirements in mind, this course will teach industry-standard procedures for handling runoff from construction sites.
Geared toward flexible learning styles, this course is presented online. Upon successful completion of this online 2.5-hour program, students will receive a certificate of completion valid for one (1) year. This course can qualify for 2.5 Professional Developmental Hours.
