The Public Education, Outreach and Involvement for MS4s course instructs upon the requirements, best management practices and measurable goals to be implemented as part of a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System.
This course is an online course, and helps students meet two of six minimum control measures for MS4s as required by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDEPS).
Specifically, this course will teach students how to effectively involve and educate their community about their local Stormwater Management Program and/or MS4 Program. An informed community can generate greater compliance with water management programs and greater support for funding initiatives and volunteer work necessary to implement program components.
Geared toward flexible learning styles, this course is presented online. Upon successful completion of this online 2-hour program, students will receive a certificate of completion. This course can qualify for 2.0 Professional Developmental Hours.
