Why Should You Take This Stormwater: Quantity And Quality Control Webinar?
Learn the ins and outs of stormwater management, specific to quantity and quality control, in this 1-hour Stormwater: Quantity And Quality Control webinar. Students will be introduced to the topic of stormwater pollution and the impacts it has on the environment, our economy and infrastructure, and our quality of life. The webinar will discuss the two ways in which stormwater must be controlled, quantity and quality, and the strategies used to achieve both. Applications covered include greenroofs, pervious pavement, bioswales, rain gardens, cisterns, constructed wetlands, and retention ponds. The course will conclude with several real life examples of stormwater control measures used within LEED certified buildings.
Upon completion of the webinar, students will understand the effects of stormwater pollution, and will be able to analyze the requirements for effective stormwater quantity and quality design. In addition, they will be able to identify technologies and strategies applicable to multiple project types in order to develop stormwater management plans to address quantity reductions and quality improvements.
