Michael J. Sciullo Schools is an IICRC approved trainer for Odor Control, Water Restoration, and Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician training. Instructor Mike Sciullo has a BA in Education from the School of Education University of Pittsburgh. He combines his passion for teaching with his expertise in cleaning and restoration to provide a unique educational experience. Mike is an industry veteran with over 40 years experience. He has been teaching as an approved IICRC instructor since 1983. Mike was one of the first ten instructors who helped write the original standards, manuals, and tests. Mike's schools are all about educating his students and not selling a particular brand name or product.

Michael is an entertaining educator. I enjoyed his course & the wealth of knowledge he carries; however, his teaching style seemed to be more suitable for individuals of whom have previous experience in the fire restoration field. As someone who doesn’t have fire restoration experience, I would’ve appreciated a teaching style that could’ve been more effective for a first timer. Still, a good experience nevertheless. Thank you. Really enjoyed the course due to the ultimate instructor. Michael was extremely helpful with insight into the restoration process for fires and shared many real life examples/experiences to the class. Michael walks the walk and talks the talk. Very informative. Michael is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to explain the mechanics and reasoning behind the course. He sets high expectations for the class and makes his knowledge available to students even after the course has ended. Michael has thorough knowledge of the multiple areas of involvement in the process of "Drying" a water effected structure. His use of the manual along with his narrative was useful in understanding the processes of this work and the equipment, tools and calculations necessary to be successful in mitigating the categories of water affected areas. There was a lot of information to take in and at times it felt overwhelming but his daily review of the materials studied the prior day was helpful in easing those concerns. There were intermittent audio issues that were at times interruptive but with Michael's communication skills those issues were resolved expediently. I appreciated Michael's sharing the wealth of knowledge and history he possesses in this area of study and would gladly learn under his study in the future! Tammy A.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much in field experience the instructor has. It’s great to have someone with first hand knowledge of in field practices who can talk through experiences as well as the literature in the book.

The course was detailed and while there are too many specifics for him to cover everything, he covered the broad strokes well enough that I feel the training was entirely worth my time.
