Truckee Meadows Community College Safety Center was founded in 1987 as the business outreach arm of the college. The Safety Center provides customized and public-offered safety courses and consulting. Focusing on mandates from OSHA, EPA, DOT and DHS, the Safety Center has provided training to over 50,000 private sector and government employees and agencies. The Safety Center provides services nationwide and has a cadre of seasoned professionals, all topic experts in their field, and many of which are OSHA authorized and EPA accredited.

Great course, instructor was very knowledgeable and used interactive drills that reflected real world scenarios to demonstrate practical applications. Zack Academy staff was also very helpful in sorting out logistics of a snow delay at the hosting institution.

THIS CLASS WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY, THE TIME, THE EDUCATION AND THE EXPERIENCE! Rob made the class extremely fun and informative, which is great when it is a 40 hr. class. They tend to get very boring and very repetitive. This definitely was not a check the box kind of class. You had to earn it which made it that much better!! Thanks for the awesome class - I look forward to sending more of my crew through this class.

Overall, I thought the course was informative and provided the level of knowledge required. However, I felt like there was a significant amount of wasted time on repetitive videos and there was a general disorganization to the structure of each day. The class room was new and not completely active relating to computer/projector/vcr and the instructor had not been fully informed on how to use the classroom equipment resulting in wasted time. Also, we were not given enough equipment for the entire class to participate in the field exercise and the equipment given was incomplete.

Mixed feelings about the class. Informative yes but you really had to work at it at times to get that information. Instructor at least for myself was quite confusing on information delivery and questions that were raised. More than happy to help but sometimes the help went in different directions than the actual answers to a point where finally you would just say okay but be no better off than when you started. Like I said maybe it was myself unable to follow or deal with his style. I did however see more than one confused look on the faces of the many in the class over the week.
