Scaffolding Awareness - Online is a 15-minute course that outlines the fundamentals of scaffolding and the hazards involved with it. This course identifies the numerous causes of scaffolding falls. Additional topics covered include the competent person's responsibilities, identifying unsafe construction conditions, and the dangers of elevated platforms. The student will research different control strategies for falling objects, electrical systems, and collapse hazards while abiding by OSHA Standards: 1926.95,.451,.454,.503, Subpart L, and industry best practices.The interactive simulation in the course helps to identify common scaffolding hazards on construction sites. Students will gain a thorough understanding of scaffolding safety, resulting in a safer work environment with scaffolds.
