This IICRC Upholstery/Fabric Cleaning Technician course presents all of the basic concepts and systems of upholstery and drapery cleaning. The course covers fibers and identification; pre-testing and problems prevention; upholstery and drapery procedures and techniques; and use of chemicals in spotting and after cleaning treatments.

Continuing Education: The IICRC continuing education program seeks to encourage registrants to actively participate in their industry through conventions, workshops and specialized training with continuing education and by sharing knowledge with others in the industry.
CLEANING/RESTORATION TECHNICIANS: IICRC-certified cleaning and restoration technicians face many changes in their field and require 14.0 CE credit hours every four years.
Please Note: Failure to meet continuing education credit requirements will result in suspension of that particular status until the requirement is met and all current course requirements are met.

I want to be honest. When I was taking the course with James, I was frustrated with the stories and not really having the time to sit and take the class, I kept wishing I could just have the facts and move on. Then I took the exam. Remembering his stories of his experiences gave me the knowledge to answer the exam questions. It was amazing, and I learned a valuable lesson on how to teach in a way that sticks with people. It was an added bonus. James knows what he is talking about and not from a technically educated way, but from a hands on, made that mistake, made sure I knew how to avoid that mistake, and researched how to make the processes better sort of way. I now know what I didn't know to determine how upholstery fabric cleaning processes can be implemented into our content restoration business and the level of skill an upholstery fabric cleaning technician would need to be successful. I think it is very unusual to have an instructor who is still so heavily involved in actually performing the services he is teaching. James has a rare passion for cleaning and really shares that through his course. He made a subject that could be presented in a very dry manner, more exciting.
